Sigal is head of the Research Authority at Levinsky-Wingate Academic College and head of the Genetics of Human Movement and Physical Activity Laboratory. A graduate of the third cohort of the Mandel Program for Academic Leadership in Teacher Education, she is a researcher and lecturer on the relationship between environment and heredity in movement and physical activity. She holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees and a PhD from the Technion, and completed her post-doctorate at UBC in Canada. She is also a co-founder of the ROTEM Center for Interdisciplinary Teaching and Learning at Levinsky-Wingate Academic College. In her role as head of the Research Authority, she oversees diverse studies in the field of education, discovering new layers of environmental and hereditary relationships. She views the research guidance of Yotzrim Atid as an opportunity to lead research that invites thinking beyond familiar boundaries, and as an educational partnership that seeks to plant seeds of hope.
