Dr. Michal Hisherik

Michal is head of the Social Sciences and Civics Department at Beit Berl Academic College and a researcher at the Shared Living Lab. Her primary focus is teacher training and research in the fields of social justice, gender, and multiculturalism. She holds a PhD in gender studies from Bar-Ilan University, with previous degrees in sociology and the sociology of education from Tel Aviv University. For Michal, Yotzrim Atid is a program that illustrates the power of collaboration and the importance of values-based education in building a more inclusive and just Israeli society. She views education for partnership and hope as the foundation for developing transformative educational leadership. She lives in Bnei Zion.
