Dr. Dan Misheiker

Lead Faculty, Levinsky-Wingate Academic College
Dan is head of the Department of Teaching at Levinsky-Wingate Academic College, and is a lecturer and researcher in the Department of Literature and Children’s Literature and the Department of Education. He is a graduate of cohort 3 of the Mandel Program for Academic Leadership in Teacher Education, and a co-founder of the Human-Animal Relations Forum at Tel Aviv University and the ROTEM Center for Interdisciplinary Teaching and Learning at Levinsky-Wingate Academic College. His research focuses on human-animal relations and ecocriticism in modern Hebrew and Jewish literature, as well as eco-pedagogy, shared living, and innovation in teaching literature and the humanities. In Yotzrim Atid, he finds that his beliefs and educational perceptions can be implemented in real life and not just remain on the page, and that imagination can become reality. He lives in Jaffa.
